Windows EFS Encryption Guide Encrypting File System

Under Windows Pro / Server we can encrypt data quickly and securely using the EFS (Encrypting File System). The implementation is done in less than 5 minutes. After activation, a self-signed certificate is generated on the system. This certificate consists of 2 parts, namely a public key and a private key. The public key encrypts the data and the private key decrypts the data again. So we're talking about a key pair here. For demonstration I create on my desktop a new folder and call this EFS encryption.
