DKIM CNAME provider

DKIM with Office 365

Activate O365 DKIM

If you want to activate the DKIM authentication process in Office 365, proceed as follows.

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an authentication procedure that can help protect senders and recipients from fake emails and phishing emails. Add DKIM signatures to your domains so that recipients know that the email messages are actually from users in your organization and have not been changed since they were sent

The simple attempt to activate DKIM will most likely trigger an error message.

There is no CNAME entry for this configuration.

The reason for this is the lack of DNS entries at the provider. In my case, I am a customer of IONOS.

I register with the provider (customer center) and navigate to the
corresponding domain> DNS and add 2 entries (CNAME), which are as follows:

selector1._domainkey
selector1-joernwalter-de._domainkey.ndsedv.onmicrosoft.com
selector2._domainkey
selector2-joernwalter-de._domainkey.ndsedv.onmicrosoft.com
