WinRM cannot complete the process
WinRM the following error occurred
If an error occurs while using Windows Remote Management, the cause can be very diverse.
Starting with the release of the port 5985 or 5986 for WinRM, RPC port 135 up to a non-activated service.
In this case, a small parameter is missing.
The domain controller from which I am planning a task on a remote server gives me the following error message:
[SRVSUBCA.dwp.local] The following error occurred while connecting to the remote server “SRVSUBCA.dwp.local”: WinRM cannot complete the operation. Check that the specified computer name is valid, that the computer can be reached over the network and that a firewall exception for the WinRM service is activated and allows access from this computer. By default, access to remote computers within the same local subnet is restricted by the WinRM firewall exception for public profiles.
For more information, see the “about_Remote_Troubleshooting” help topic.
+ CategoryInfo: OpenError: (SRVSUBCA.dwp.local: String) , PSRemotingTransportException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId: WinRMOperationTimeout, PSSessionStateBroken
A quick check showed that the setting on the remote server (SRVSUBCA) is set so that it is only listened to on port 5986 (SSL).
Incidentally, the setting on the domain controller looks as follows. But that has no influence.
The desk -UseSSL must be used. Now the connection to the remote server works too.
